On 01 October 2019, we have begun the new academic year in the Center for Polish Language and Culture in the World at the Jagiellonian University. The opening meetings were held in the Lecture Hall of the Faculty of Polish Studies and at the Collegium Maius. The opening lecture was delivered by the Director of the Centre, Dr hab. Waldemar Martyniuk.
There were Polish students present, who study the major of “Teaching Polish as a foreign and second language”, as well as foreign students. In this term, about 800 people take part in our programmes for foreigners, including the participants of an intense academic one-term and yearly course, the scholars of the National Agency for Academic Exchange within the framework of a yearly course preparing for taking up studies in Poland, the students of Chinese universities within the framework of the “double degree” academic programme, the foreign students of Collegium Medicum at the Jagiellonian University, and the Erasmus programme participants. We wish all of you to be successful in your studies and have a wonderful time in Kraków.
