In connection with the communication of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of 11 March 2020, we kindly inform that any educational classes and administration work in the School of Polish Language and Culture and the Center for Polish Language and Culture in the World of the Jagiellonian University, will be conducted solely remotely starting from 13 March until further notice.

Best Foreign Student Award
Huiling Zhang, a first-year student in the MA programme in teaching Polish as a foreign and second language, won the 10th edition of the INTERSTUDENT 2020 competition for the best foreign student in the MA category, organised by the Conference of Rectors of Academic Schools in Poland (CRASP) and the Perspektywy Foundation.
End of semester
On 31 January 2020, the assembly hall of Collegium Novum hosted a festive end-of-semester ceremony for foreign students enrolled in a one-year/one-semester intensive programme of Polish language and culture.
Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange
The Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange announces recruitment for summer courses of Polish language and culture organized at various universities in Poland, among others by the School of Polish Language and Culture of the Jagiellonian University. The Programme’s objective is teaching and promoting Polish language and culture abroad via allowing foreign students and foreigners who are teachers of Polish language at the universities to participate in several-week long courses of the Polish language and culture organized in Poland.
Programme for Bloomsburg University
On Friday 17 January 2020, the assembly hall of the Collegium Maius hosted an official closing ceremony of the programme organised at the School of Polish Language and Culture for Bloomsburg University from Pennsylvania, the US. The event was also attended by Professor Armen Edigarian, Deputy Rector for Educational Affairs of the Jagiellonian University. Students received their certificates of attendance, memorial university stamps, and T-shirts with the logo of the School of Polish Language and Culture. After the ceremony, they visited the Jagiellonian University Museum.
Christmas in the Centre
On Friday before the holiday break, everyone at the Centre was already getting ready for Christmas. Our teachers organised a special workshop, during which students made chains and baubles to decorate our very own Christmas tree, learned how to say “Merry Christmas” in languages other than Polish, and discovered different Christmas traditions in other countries.
