The Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange announces recruitment for summer courses of Polish language and culture organized at various universities in Poland, among others by the School of Polish Language and Culture of the Jagiellonian University. The Programme’s objective is teaching and promoting Polish language and culture abroad via allowing foreign students and foreigners who are teachers of Polish language at the universities to participate in several-week long courses of the Polish language and culture organized in Poland.

Programme for Bloomsburg University

On Friday 17 January 2020, the assembly hall of the Collegium Maius hosted an official closing ceremony of the programme organised at the School of Polish Language and Culture for Bloomsburg University from Pennsylvania, the US. The event was also attended by Professor Armen Edigarian, Deputy Rector for Educational Affairs of the Jagiellonian University. Students received their certificates of attendance, memorial university stamps, and T-shirts with the logo of the School of Polish Language and Culture. After the ceremony, they visited the Jagiellonian University Museum.

Christmas in the Centre

On Friday before the holiday break, everyone at the Centre was already getting ready for Christmas. Our teachers organised a special workshop, during which students made chains and baubles to decorate our very own Christmas tree, learned how to say “Merry Christmas” in languages other than Polish, and discovered different Christmas traditions in other countries.

Saint Andrew's Day

On Friday, members of the Glottodidactics Students' Club invited their international classmates to attend Saint Andrew's Day celebrations. The party kicked off with a short presentation, followed by fortune-telling games and activities, allowing everyone to discover what the future holds in store.
