Dear Sirs,
we would like to offer children and teenagers a Summer course of Polish Language and Culture “Explorers Summer 2023” in the form of a day camp at the School of Polish Language and Culture, Jagiellonian University.

Form of the course: in-class
Application deadline has been prolonged: May 15h, 2023
Payment deadline: June 26th, 2023
Fee for one participant: PLN 2.450
Age requirement for participants: 13 – 17 years old
Language classes: 64 Grodzka str., 31-044 Kraków
IMPORTANT:
• Classes will be held from Monday to Friday only, between 9:00 a.m. to 4:00/5:00 p.m. (Polish time)
• The School does not provide participants with accommodation and board within the day camp. Parents/legal guardians are responsible for finding accommodation for their child for the duration of the course.
• In order for us to open a Day Camp, a minimum of 40 participants must be enrolled in.
IN THE COURSE WE OFFER:
- 40 academic hours of language classes (1 academic hour = 45 min) held by teachers of Polish as a foreign language of the Jagiellonian University who have experience in teaching and working with young people. Classes will take place in the morning: 9:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. (including a 30-minute break).
- Participants will develop and practice all the language skills, i.e., speaking, reading, listening, and writing. They will also acquire and master grammar and new vocabulary.
- cultural and tourist program: sightseeing tours (e.g. the Jagiellonian University Museum in Collegium Maius, Kraków’s Old Town with The Wawel Royal Castle, Żywe Muzeum Obwarzanka; The Museum of Illusions, The Stanisław Lem Experimental Garden/The Museum of Engineering and Technology); trips (e.g. The Kościuszko Mound and the Kościuszko Museum, The “Wieliczka” Salt Mine, cruise on the Vistula River, Zakopane).
- a completion diploma of the language course at the Jagiellonian University in Kraków – with a grade and the number of credits/ECTS points obtained.
PLACEMENT TEST
At the enrolment stage participants receive a link to the online placement test on the Open UJ platform. The aim of the placement test is to determine their actual level of Polish and are basis for assigning them to the appropriate language group.
PAYMENT
We kindly inform you that School does not accept payment in cash. You can make a payment by bank transfer, pay by card directly at the School's Accounting Office (3 Romana Ingardena str., 30-060 Kraków, room no. 139) or authorize School to bill your credit/debit card.
Please remember that all bank charges should be covered by the participant.
Lack of payment will result in removing a participant from the list.
The full Camp with accommodation and board is planning to be organized in 2024.
