DATES AND FEES

ONE-YEAR PROGRAMS IN POLISH LANGUAGE AND CULTURE (including one-year preparatory courses for studying in Poland)

Dates:

  • 2 October 2023 – 25 June 2024


PROGRAM FEE: 14 700 PLN – which includes
a non-refundable and once paid registration fee of 920 PLN


Foreigners paying for the one-year Polish language program can make a separate payment in each semester, divided as follows:

1. Fee for the first semester: 7 950 PLN (the price of the program 7 030 PLN + the registration fee of 920 PLN).
2. Fee in the second semester: 6 750 PLN.

The fee for the annual program can also be paid for the entire year in advance.

  • 2nd semester: 26 February – 25 June 2024

a non-refundable and once paid registration fee of 920 PLN

 

The fee for the one-semester program must be paid in full.

The above fees cover only the cost of the programs.

PAYMENT OF FEES

The fees are paid to an individual bank account. The bank account number is provided to each person upon acceptance into the program,  and is included in the acceptance letter.

The non-refundable and once paid registration fee of 920 PLN should be transferred to the bank account on the following dates:

• in the case of people starting their studies on October 2, 2023, by September 8, 2023 at the latest;
• in the case of people starting their studies on February 26, 2024, by February 2, 2024 at the latest.

Lack of payment will be understood as withdrawal from participation in the program and will result in removal from the list of accepted applicants.

The fee for the first semester should be credited to the bank account by September 22, 2023 at the latest, and for the second semester by February 16, 2024 at the latest.

Important: Late fees will be charged with interest.
When making the bank transfer, it is necessary to add the following SWIFT code before the bank account number: PKOPPLPW. Also, in accordance with international bank account numeration (IBAN), it is necessary to add PL before the bank account number.

Cash payments in a foreign currency to the account of the Jagiellonian University are accepted at two branches of the Pekao S.A. bank in Kraków:

• ul. Pijarska 1

• ul. Gronostajowa 3.

Cash payments in PLN can be made at Pekao SA bank branches throughout the country.

Important: Payments can be made in a currency other than Polish zlotys (PLN).

If the fee paid turns out to be lower than required, the candidate will be informed about the need to make an additional payment, and if the fee is higher, the overpayment will be returned to the account of the person making the payment.

Note: The Institute of Polish Language and Culture for Foreigners does not have the possibility to convert the price of the program given in Polish zlotys into other currencies.

Please note: All bank fees must be paid by the program participant.

Letter of Acceptance

People who are accepted into the Polish language and culture program will receive a letter of acceptance. The letter of acceptance should be presented at a Polish Consulate while applying for a student visa (this concerns non-EU/EEA citizens).

SCHOLARSHIPS

The Jagiellonian University’s Institute of Polish Language and Culture for Foreigners does not issue scholarships or discounts on program fees.
