INTENSIVE AFTERNOON PROGRAMS

In October 2023, the Jagiellonian University in Kraków is launching severa;; new Polish courses, targeted specifically at EU long-term resident status applicants who already have some knowledge of the language (levels: A2 or higher).
Since the courses are offered at levels A2 or higher, learners will be required to take a placement test.
The condition for receiving a certificate is attendance at classes and a positive result of the final exam.
 
Placement test: an online test on the Open UJ platform, designed to assess your language level. Only applicants at level A2 or higher will be admitted to the course.
The link to the placement test will be provided in an e-mail confirming the receipt of your application. You will then have up to three days to take the test.
 
Course description: The syllabus is adapted to the needs of our learners. The course has a practical focus and centers on topics and issues encountered in everyday life to help you communicate more effectively at work, at school, and in the office.
You will develop and improve all language skills, i.e. speaking, reading, listening, and writing, as well as expand your knowledge of grammar and vocabulary.
 
Course duration:
  • Online, 4 weeks, 2 classes per week: Mon/Wed or Tue/Thu.
 
Teaching hours:  the course consists of 24 academic hours of Polish (1 academic hour = 45 minutes), including 4 hours set aside for the written and oral exam. In order to earn the certificate, you need to pass the final test.
Learners who have earned a passing grade will get their language level certificate several days after the exam.

In order to enroll in the course:

1. Read the course information on the School’s website.
2. Fill out the online Application Form and provide your consent to attached documents, including the Information of the processing of your personal data“Polish course for EU long-term residence applicants”, and the Consent to the sending information. The School will then send your application form back to you as a pdf. It must be printed out, signed manually, and sent back as a scanned document to: plschool@uj.edu.pl.  
3. Take the placement test. Once you have submitted your application form, the School will send you all the information you need to take the test.
4. Pay the course fee.

The confirmation of enrollment and all further information will be sent to you by e-mail.

COURSE FEE: PLN 700,00

Payment method:
The course fee can be paid by:

  • bank transfer,
  • card, directly at the Accounting Department of the School (ul. Romana Ingardena 3, 30-060 Kraków, room 139),
  • you can also authorize the School to charge your credit/debit card by filling out an authorization form sent to you during enrollment.

The School does not accept cash payments.
Any bank fees must be covered by the course participant.
Applicants who fail to pay the course fee will be removed from the course list.

Minimum group size: for the course to start, a minimum number of applicants must sign up  (minimum 7 people).
